Committed to tradition
The Krachbüchler family came to Lower Austria when Maria Theresa founded Theresienfeld in 1764 and tyrolean farmers settled there to farm the land.
- The Kornfeld Krachbüchler farm has been owned by the family since 1764.
- In 1989, Johann Krachbüchler, Sr., took over the company.
- By 1995, the transition from conventional to organic farming had been completed. In the same year, construction of silos for the storage of organic specialty crops and organic grains began.
- In 1998, the conventional mill was converted to a husking mill and commercialization efforts began.
- In 2000, the “Bio-Getreidestation Krachbüchler GmbH“ was founded. During the following years, the pallet storage units and refrigerated storage units were expanded and the husking mill was upgraded.
- Since 2007, the Eusebio logo has been recognized as a trademark throughout the EU.
- In 2014, Eusebio was officially established as the company name. The reason for this was that the previously used term “Getreidestation“ no longer described the range of business activities. “Eusebio GmbH“ today deals intensively with specialty crops and refined products thereof.
- In 2019, the breakthrough came with Austrian organic chia, for which Johann Krachbüchler sen. developed an own chia variety. It is registered under the name Chia-Angelo® for EU-wide variety and trademark protection.
