“Controlling processes is one thing. Influencing processes is another,“ states Sabine Krachbüchler as she describes the unique selling point of the company. Whoever guarantees the delivery of organic products without fail must keep a close eye on all steps of the production chain, from advising the farmers to processing, refining, and delivering high-quality organic products. “Especially during the processing steps, it’s vital that we unite all key processes under one roof and only rely on service providers where absolutely necessary,“ says the managing director.
Eusebio GmbH supplies major customers such as mills, bakeries, contract packagers, and retail chains. The organic products are delivered by road trains, in bulk bags, or in 25 kg bags. Rapid delivery is a prerequisite to ensure the satisfaction of the customers. “The large finished goods warehouse enables us to keep products on stock,“ says Eusebio Managing Director Sabine Krachbüchler, “so we can respond quickly to wishes and short-notice orders made by our customers.“ Consistent consideration for individual customer needs has evolved over the years into the hallmark of Eusebio. In this way, many product innovations have been developed through initiatives from, and close cooperation with, customers.
“We are also an actively operating organic farm. As farmers, we know about the joys and hardships experienced by our contract partners,“ says Sabine Krachbüchler, who adds that it was taken as a given for Eusebio GmbH to pay fair prices for fair services. “Sustainability is our priority – through the management of the soils and maintenance of business partnerships - not short-term profit.“
Innovation and Development
Eusebio GmbH is the result of hundreds of years of agricultural experience made on the border of the Pannonian Basin. “The success story of Eusebio has developed from collective knowledge gathered by previous generations, our fascination for sustainable organic agriculture, solid craftsmanship skills, and dreams and visions that are firmly grounded in reality,“ says Sabine Krachbüchler as she refers to the company's founder, Johann Krachbüchler, Sr., a true pioneer. While searching for suitable crops that could be cultivated under challenging conditions, he stumbled across the specialized crops, the highest quality harvests of which are processed and marketed by Eusebio today. Eusebio was the first company in Austria to grow large commercial quantities of organic millet, buckwheat, and lentils (green and puy lentils) and process them. “Now, we are successfully experimenting with cultivating exotic cultures such as organic teff, chia, and amaranth,“ says Sabine Krachbüchler, offering a glimpse into the near future. “Eusebio tells an irresistible tale of rediscovering old ways and forging new trails.“
